Myrtle Burl Again
« on: November 12, 2011, 02:53:00 PM »
Here is the latest bow with the myrtle burl.  I just love the contrast and the wild look. My neighbor says it's like an old map which has been distressed. Just wondering what people think and what it reminds them off.
The riser is myrtle as well.
I know this is not for everyone and there just is not enough wild burl like this anyway. Hope you enjoy.
Abe

Your bow is a giant Rorschach test...  If you get bored sitting on the stand you can look at the bow and try and figure out what it looks like!

I think it is so ugly that you should send it to me for a proper disposal. Trust me, you won't see it again. LOL.

Seriously, very nice!!!!!!! The only thing wrong with it I can see is it is right handed. Beautiful bow.
Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

You took the words right out of my mouth, PrarrieDog.  I think it's fantastic.  Trippy.

I love the Rorschach analogy. I sometimes wonder if I don't need a psychogicail exam after sitting on stand, NO I won't ask my wife.
What do you see in that limb?
Thanks
Abe

Well I look into that limb and I see God creating at his best. Hidden until someone cuts open the tree, drys the wood, makes a beautiful bow out of it using his inspiration. Great job and beautiful work Mr. Penner.
God bless you, Steve
