Bobcats, Werewolves and bucks
« on: November 13, 2011, 03:49:00 PM »
Having switched over to the new Eclipse broadheads this summer I have been eager to try them out but the deer haven't been cooperating with me. Anyway I got in my tree this past Thursday and it hit me that the full moon would be that night and decided that maybe the Werewolves would get to howl. Anyway Friday comes and the first thing I see is a bobcat...now anyone who knows me knows that bobcats are my lucky tailsman. The past three times I have seen one I have killed a buck in a couple of days out of my stand that I have on my great aunt's old place. Only problem was Friday was the last day of deer archery season and gun season was supposed to open on Saturday and I had planned on going with the gun and putting down a doe or two. But this bobcat changed my plans quick, who was I to play with fate. Well this morning at 8:30 this buck shows himself and comes to me on a string. I ended up spining him on my first shot and had to put another arrow in him to finish him off. Widow PSR 59@28, 2315's and 150g Werewolves.
