another WOW day
« on: November 14, 2011, 12:02:00 AM »
4th sit in honey hole ground blind. saw 11 deer in 2 hours including 4 bucks and one was A MAN of an 8 point. I drew on a doe but she stopped (at 8 yards) with her vitals behind a tree. Had a 4 point walk 3 feet behind my hide, never had any idea i was inside.

here is my natural blind created by a late summer storm.

I'm gonna try some ground hunting late season this year or next year. I had a little logging done on my property this fall and there are a bunch of tops laying around that will make great natural blinds. I have only killed one deer from the ground, a 6 point with my recurve a few years ago. I have had the itch to try it again and with these tops laying around it should make it a lot easier than setting up a ground blind.
