You mean a mixture of different head shapes & weights?

When small game hunting I keep a "disposable" Modoc Chief or Zwickey Eskimo broadhead tipped arrow or two for the may-not-get-it-back shots in with my blunts and RibTek broadheads.

Big game hubting I keep five of either Stos 130 gr or Magnus 11 125 gr heads (depending on bow) with a 2" foam insert at the bottom of the quiver so they don't jostle together.  Also two blunts.  But they are all identical broadheads & shafts at any one time.

I was thinking about this over the weekend. I had 6 arrows....3 with Magnus Stinger 4 blades, 2 with the standard black Magnus 2 blades, and 1 with a judo point.

My reasoning is the Stingers are for deer and pigs, and the others are for small game like coons/squirrels/skunks.

It's just my little system, but I like the way it's been working out this season.

I usually have a variety of heads in my bow quiver but primarily Magnus I's and TreeSharks. Reasons being I have many bows I like to hunt with and I have arrows with BH's marked for given bows that fly well from them. I shoot mostly POC's so unlike carbons a one size fits all doesn't always work out.

3 - VPA, 2 - ACE, and 1 - STOS

Why?  Because I feel like it, no other reason.

Most days I have 3- 4blade deltas and 2-2blade deltas. The 2 bladers are for squirrels because they are a little faster to sharpen and dirt comes off easier.

I don't even look when I grab 4 out of the bucket. It's always a nice surprise to pull an arrow for me.  Be it 2, 3 or 4 blade.

I want EVERYTHING exactly the same so I don't have to think I know whats coming off that bow

I usually carry all the same broadhead/arrow combo but this year I have two Zwickey Deltas and two Magnus broadheads. All are two bladed and fly the same. I also have a judo tipped arrow that usually gets more use than the four broadheaded arrows!  :archer2:    :dunno:

When I hunt deer and elk in my GN I carry four broadheads all Terminators and one Ace hex blunt. Between seasons I carry a random mixture of blunts and judos. Everything else I try to keep exactly the same.
