Thanks again, everybody!  Don....been meaning to call you and see how things went, and how the drive through the snow to Billings was?!!!

I'm kinda in a fog today....no hunting.  I pulled one stand out, and walked the dog.  Gotta get my head back in the "real world" game, I guess.    Thanks for looking, folks.

Very nice!!  Congrats, great pictures!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Mark,  A great thread as always and one I look forward to reading!  You truely have a gift for telling a story. Not only in words, but in pictures and music as well.     For me, you are one of my bowhunting hero's. Congrats to you and your kids on the harvests. I too had one of my hardest and most frustrating years of bowhunting, but after reading your thread I'm looking at it from a new perspective.

Thanks for the story~     :campfire:

Thanks for sharing your hunting journal with us.  It is great to have a hunting story here and there, but the "year-in-a-thread" story is great too.

Pictures are awesome.

Thanks again.

Man I knew your selfbows were wimpy but come on, bouncing off a BB's hide  :)   I think "Stupid" had some sort of force field, huh?  Your season stories force me to battle with one of the  deadly sins.  I am extremely blessed and envy no one but I come close when I see what you post.  thanks for taking us along.  Great thread.  Congrats!
Take a kid hunting!

Thank you Mark!  Your scenery rivals ours, but the whole primitive archery and family thing  puts your thread in a different league.  For that you are a lucky man.  ~CB

Once again, thanks all....I know how blessed I am.    John, you're right....after that shot "bounced" I was thinking wimpy too!   The only thing I can figure is I was shooting a three blade, and it hit "just right", I guess, I dunno.

Shooting animals is what we are out there for, but passing this stuff on to my boys, and getting to share these past 10 years afield, as they grown to be men is more than I can put into words.   Those of you who have done the same, know what I mean.   I hope this can inspire some others to do the same with their kids...and spend every minute you can with them.   My dad passed when I was 18, and I had to learn all this stuff largely on my own...but being able to share it with them has been my greatest sense of accomplishment.
