Well I finely done it..........
« on: November 17, 2011, 05:21:00 PM »

Yesterday I traded my old wheel bow for this beauty & now I'm training wheel free!
I've shot traditional for a few years now but always held onto that old compound like a security blanket. Now it's gone & no looking back!
Some people are like Slinkies ... Not really good for anything,
But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Good to hear and congrats on being a big boy.

My college wrestling coach always said, "it's tough to beat singleness of purpose!"

Consequently he also said, "Riding the fence hurts your balls!"

Your shooting will most likely improve with your new found focus

I'm sure she's much prettier than the cable gun she replaced. Now you can really focus on your shooting. Knowing you no longer have the cable gun to fall back on will vastly improve your focus on shooting your "real" bows.

Good looking bow.

BTW, with it's natural wood coloring, it sure does blend in well with it's surroundings.

That my friend is how you do it.  You make a committment and see it through.  I sold ALL of my wheelie stuff in 2005, bought a BW and have never even glanced back.  If you are like me you will come to find that the wheel bow was a serious handi-cap in close contact shooting.

You have tested your wings for quite some time.

Now that you have been pushed out of the nest - actually jumped, I am sure you will fly.

Congrats!

Can't get rid of my old compound...  My daughter stuck an elmo sticker on it for good luck when she was three.   That was nine years ago and it was the last year I hunted with it.  I'm keeping it on the wall.    :D

I love the look of those newer Bears.  I've thought about picking one up, but hard to convince my wife that I need two bows!

Did the same thing last year.  It was tough the first year but after your first harvest it gets much easier.  I find that I enjoy shooting a lot more now.
