Check the 3Rivers how to section on their website. They have a video that will help you.

This one is really well done, IMHO.
   You Tube using a stringer

I use the stringer with the rubber triangle on one end and the pocket on the other (what he calls the "recurve stringer").

I like it better than the one with the two pockets, one large and one small (I have used both, and the one I had with two pockets slipped (my fault for not being careful), and the bow gave me a real shiner.

I do use the push pull method occasionally with a few different bows (lightweight recurves, or longbows), but use the stringer almost exclusively and only a stringer on some bows.

Congratulations on picking a good bow.  I sure like my Savannah.

portugeejn,

That's a great video.        I also used a stringer with the two pockets when I had my first and only longbow.

Just be very careful when doing it.Make sure your bottom loop is seated properly when you put the stringer pocket on it.When you slide the upper string loop into place, don't let go of anything till you can feel that it is fully seated,as well. Then you can ease off pressure on the stringer. After that, check each end of the string visually to confirm they are properly in place.

It is not necessary to string and unstring the bow every time you use it.Mine stay strung all the time.
