I built this bow back in early summer but because of health problems I have not been able to shoot it. Here is a link to the bow thread I did on it.

   http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=125;t=006659

It's been driving me nuts not being able to shoot it but finaly everything worked out and what a pleasure it has been to shoot. I found what broadheads she liked and been practicing alot.

I took her out last night for the first time and had a big old buck chasing a doe go by at 40yds and then a bunch of turkeys go by about the same distance a little while later. I heard the turkeys roost up the ridge about 200yds away and the forcast said extreme wind tomorrow morning so I knew I would be back in this little valley to get out of the wind.

Man, The weather man was right and a hour after daylight the turkeys flew down and were having a party over there. I could hear them clucking and fighting and even a couple gobbles, There was a couple strutters in the group too.

A group of six broke away from the big group and started my way. I was hunting with a buck decoy this morning, It worked out great a couple evenings ago with does and bucks checking it out just nothing I wanted to shoot.

The turkeys locked on to him and came right by my treestand watching him the whole time, They offered a 15yd almost broadside shot. My arrow flew true on the second bird and it was down in 20yds.

Well Done! I like the looks of that bow too.

Nice bird Tracy!  Congrats on the bird, and in getting completely back in the saddle.  I know that has to feel great to you!

Thanks guys! and there's a link below the first pick that has a bunch of picks of the bow and why I made it. It's a all natural Osage and Bamboo bow like John Schulz used to make.
