This season has been dreadfully slow for me. I have been out 8 times and have only seen one doe from stand.I am hunting areas that have always produced for me in the past.I also pulled two ticks out of myself yesterday. They give me the heebeejeebees

We have a decent acorn crop the beechnuts are good and so are apples and pig nuts.

Acorns by me are a far cry from what they were last year. My apple tree did well by compairson.

How goes it Glen? Good seeing ya on here.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

Nor are there any deer there also.

I bet next year the acorn crop will be good again at Carl's.

The Pine Bush and Sanders preserve are loaded with them.

Acorns here are light as well. We have a tree by a stand we use that usually has a bunch on the ground and has very few this year. Interesting that others are seeing it as well.

Seeing a LOT of deer though. Now to see them on land not posted and close enough to shoot.  :)

Busted flat today.I thought today was the day, mid 30's no wind or rain for once. The tree rats and geese were active but not even the sound of a deer. The corn was getting cut down below and I was hoping theyd push some deer up but nothing. Lots and lots of fresh tracks on the logging road below my stand, I can only guess they were moving at night.   :dunno:
