Sweet! Great job all!

Things are picking up by me. I saw/busted a scrub buck yesterday morning, and in the evening had two does at 35. No shot offered. This morning I spotted the same scrub buck but no shot again. I know they are out there, just gotta figure the path or pattern. This season has been tough by comparison to last.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

Just got in from a morning sit, pretty wet but a good morning. Seen a few but no shots.

Right after I took this pic, she really didn't know what I was, wasn't all that spooked. Good camo and the wind was perfect. Plus, the heavy foilage was a real advantage.

She circled slightly and began to browse on the many acorns out there. She finally hit an opening about 25 yds out, about a 3' window to shoot through. I decided to shoot some wood off the new Kempf longbow, barrel tapered ash I had left over.

The shot looked good but a tad back...liver. Gave her 45 minutes then with light fading picked up the trail. I bumped her and she ran another 50 yds and bedded. I eased out, went back 2 hrs later with a good LED light and found her in the bed.

Got her out and ran her up to the butcher. Nice size doe and should make for some fine eating. Now, waiting on my new Left Hand Fedora so I can try to accomplish my goal of taking a deer both RH and LH. Heading off now to the nursing home to see mom...Keep The Faith fellas....

saw a four point this am.  never came close enough for a shot.  did some little sparring with my rattle bag and he came running in.
didnt seem to care to much for the grunt tube or the smokeys orbital gland i had laid out, but he snapped his head around when i hit the bleat can.
made a big circle around me and just vanished into the woods. awesome
east wind here in syracuse tomorrow so out to the swamp i go.

Hey NY - looks like you are going to get a little tracking snow tomorrow night. Best get into the woods early tomorrow and you'll have a good excuse for missing work for a coupla days.
