QDM here...3 pt or better. Finally got a few hours tonite to sit. Eased into a nice location, settled down by 4pm. Had two twin 4 pts and one spike walk by. Spike walked up to a blowdown, maybe 15 yds from me and chomped down some leaves.

All three fed around me for about 30 minutes then moved on. A mess of squirrels were out tonite foraging and running crazy, drove me nuts. Thank God a hawk zoomed in and scared the hell out of them. Quieted things down until dark.

New spot tomorrow afternoon...hope it pans out. Keep The Faith fellas...it's only going to get better.

Someones gotta story to tell.   :readit:   WTG Larry!

Good Luck Joe, keep at it.  That 3 point rule got me the first year they implemented it. Thought I had a fork walking in, turned out he had a really tiny brow tine on one side and like an idiot, I never positioned my self for a shot due to me thinking he wasn't legal.   :knothead:

They are hot an heavy at the family farm in WI, they will be here also in no time.

no great story, just some meat for the freezer, had a yearling doe walk by me when I was in the killing mood. double lung hit, went maybe 40yrds, down hill into the swamp of course. decent blood trail.

I cleaned her up some for the pic, cause she dropped right in the leaf filled brackish water (of course) you can just make out the exit where the little bit of red is

Good eats, Larry.
 :clapper:

I have a commitment Saturday so I countered by arranging to have Friday off.  Looks like a good day - and this morning my wife saw a small buck following a doe across a field a mile down the road on her way to work.  Hopefully we're finally getting a rut on.

  Larry!

I am lucky enough to have this whole day to hunt the dairy farm. Saw some nice sign yesterday in a cedar stand. I'm stoked!

Was out in Sterling today..saw 4 does but 2 far for a shot...the sign looked more promising for sure. It was definitely odd still seeing so much green on the trees with snow on the ground..lol..all in all a good day. Will be back at it next week...good luck to all

kevsuperg

things are picking up , seeing rubs and scrapes.  saw 4 does last night while ground hunting.  tonight i moved 50yds closer to where they have been coming out and i saw 5 does ,just at dusk, 50 yds further away.
i know they didnt see or smell me, sixth sense ?? you'd think i'd be frustrated but nope ,just more determined and intrigued
only using my recurve and wearing green / black woolrich shirt and green canvas flannel lined jeans.  goin old school.
glad to hear folks are having luck, keep it up.
