Fell here; but regained it's feet.

Unfortunately, this is all I have to report at this time.  Nice little four point, possibly a six by some counts.  Blood trail petered out and after 100 yards on my hands and knees with a flashlight I decided to mark the last spot and pick it up in the AM.  Pray the coyotes are occupied elsewhere tonight.        :(

I hunted this morning in a different town than the one where I shot that six point......and had another encounter with a great 6pt. I really wasn't looking to shoot another buck today unless a monster came by. This guy showed up nudging a few does who i hoped would move my way. They didn't and when I saw they weren't going to, i put the bow on the hook and grabbed my camera. This 6 offered me some great shots. His body is huge and he's an old guy. All scarred up and judging by the way he walked he is really stiff all over. Ishiwannabe is coming down to hunt with me tomorrow and i really hope I can put him on this deer. All of these pictures were taken at less than 25yds, most of them right at 20yds. I even started shaking, just running the camera!

Good luck. You never know, sometimes we have coyotes on deer in less than an hour and sometimes they lay all night and the dogs never touch them. Keep us posted

Thanks.  Made me sick to do it, but once I saw he'd flopped down and got back up I was afraid I might be pushing him.  I know I got one lung solid (even found frothy pink at times) but I don't think I got both.  I won't get much sleep tonight.

The gut pile from the doe I took on 10/15 was still there two days later.  I'm hoping against hope.     :(

The easiest way is to upload them to a photobucket account and just paste them here.

Congrats can't wait to see him!

Idk, is it me??? I've been hunting every morning this week untill 12 - 1pm and haven't seen a deer since wed.!!!!!

Looks like it's shut down around here!!!

(either that or they're running in the evening when I can't hunt...)   :banghead:
