Pair of 'Hawks

A couple of folks have asked to see a picture of the Sparrowhawks..  Very pretty longbows !
The risers use the same woods, cocobolo and macassar ebony, but they woods are reversed in each riser...

Those are nice bows Pat! I bet the bowyer uses the same method I do for making flared risers. I stack the dark block on the light one, cut the flare with a bandsaw and swap the pieces. They fit like a jigsaw puzzle. gives you two mirror image risers. How many critters have you killed with those things? About a hundred?
