Is that a rare thing in Wyoming? Seeing a cat? Here in Oregon since they banned hunting with dogs we cats EVERYWHERE! They say we have over 5,000 cats now. I would think this was a major accomplishment in a state that allows the use of dogs.

No Snag, we have lots of cats. This is a tough area to hunt. Wind blows 50 mph most days in this area all winter and it's tough to find a track. If you do find a track, it gets blown shut in a hurry.

We have a quota of 10 lions for this area, and only an average of 2 a year are killed here because of the bad weather on a daily basis.

So, I don't feel bad about killing a female. Take 'em when you can.

What a great story and one of the coolest cat pics I think I've seen!  Congrats, Tracy!

I know about the "wing blowing" stuff.  I'd have to lead a sittin cat like that about 5 yards for the arrow to hit, today!  Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for the awesome "hunt-a-long" on this one.

Great pictures all around but the one of the cat in the tree is really nice.
