I think so! Going to make a video showing how I can take a treeshark from factory sharp to hair poppin using nothin more than a kme broadhead sharpener and a b@stard file and leather stop...

ok this is just as quick as i could get one poppin hair.... i spoke with Ron from kme and i think i may start using a diamond stick between file and strop but this works just fine...

I don't see how KME can be much better than the credit it gets around this sight. I love mine and have seen nothing but praises for the KME around here.

Bisch for sure but I guess I was referring to the fact they say you can't sharpen these heads with the broadhead sharpener

I'd love to see the video. Also, while you're at it,try to get a Centaur Big Game broadhead (darn angle) sharpened with the KME. Peace!

I would be very interested in seeing the video,  A buddy and I are going to split a pack of tree sharks and try em out but getting them sharp enough has been a concern.

I'm asking for the KME Knife Sharpener for X-Mas,,, am I screwing up by not getting the broadhead sharpener? I wanted something to sharpen my braodheads and was told the knife sharpener can do both knives and heads?

Can't wait for your video to be posted.

I have both models....and while it may not be necessary I use both.  I start out with the knife sharpener.  I have extra course stone that set the bevel on my grizzlys.  I follow up with 4 stones each of a finer grit.  I then switch to the BH jig.  I finish up by polishing the edge on a very large white(arkansas?)stone followed by an old barber strop.

Maybe this is over kill...I don't know.  But I do know this, my BH's will make your eyes bleed if you look at them for more than a second...

Then, I may resort to getting the BH jig as well as the knife sharpener

Please post the video.  I think it will be of interest to many of us here.  Thanks.

Bad...
VERY clever!  That's a very interesting way to apply the use of the jig...

I don't shoot the sharks but if I did I would certainly employ your method!

I have both. I also have the FirstLite pants the OP has. Never seen them from that perspective..... Now that I have, not sure I need to again!!!!! Good sharpening technique though. Thanks for sharing.

Nice video and ingenious use of the KME. Honestly, i get the simmons heads hair popping sharp in less than a minute using a RADA wheel sharpener, plus I can use it easily in ths field. KME makes a great product, and I own both the knife sharpener and broadhead aharpener. I don't doubt that you can get them slightly sharper with the KME, but I will stick to the ease of a wheel sharpener.
