On the other hand, I am not likely to lose my bow in the woods every time I shoot it.  Where I hunt, in the marsh, from the ground, a shot arrow is likely gone.  At 50-60 dollars a pop. .  no thanks.

I am sure they are great. .  and I have an example Ashby head, so I KNOW they are very well manufactured and designed.  But, I am too poor to afford them.

TTT, how do you like these now. After a few years on the market? I think I'm going to order 6 of the 65-80 (now called the 330)
So the momentum is actually lighter than the originals? So you can make it high FOC?
I don't seem to loose as many arrows as I used to. I'm sure I'll loose em like crazy if I buy the Grizzlystiks! I think I can keep myself under 18 shafts a year if I don't shoot at many groundhogs. I often lose shafts when I'm testing and adjusting.

That's high, about the price of an ACC arrow, give or take.  You might try the Heavy Hunter shafts (Gold Tip, I think?) instead.  They are about 150 a dozen, or something close.

I'm not sure what kind of responses these are??
The question is about the performance of the Grizzly stick momentum carbon shaft. To see if anyone tried them before I spent the $ on a set.
 I currently use AD traditional tapered shafts. I'd like to know if there is a second source of similar shafting and I'm wondering what set-ups work or don't work.
Getting correct shafts is a challenge for me. I have a long draw length that excludes almost all wood shafts without some modification. (The cost of making and maintaining footed wood shafts is just as expensive as grizzly stick over the long run)
The long draw seems to make carbon arrow set up very critical and temperamental. Tuning can be difficult when you can't cut off the shaft. It can be really hard to get good arrow flight with a weight of broadhead that is practical. Constant testing wears equipment and looses arrows. The tapered shafts work the best for my application. The AD shafts vary in spine from batch to batch. I can usually move the point weight around to get them tuned. If there was a better quality shaft i would try it. As for the cost…actually being able to use the shafts I purchase and have them work well would be a real bargain for me. I have dozens parallel carbons sitting in the corner only slightly used.

I just spoke to Ed S with ABS the other day about them. I usually shoot Alaskans and like them but am getting a new to me bow and will switch shafts to momentum's now. But no I haven't ordered/received/used them yet. I like the Alaskans but these sound better.

I'm going to order 6 of the momentum .250 spine.  My Arrow Dynamics currently measure .250 spine on my wall hanging spine tester.
I'm not sure how accurate that spine tester is.
Right now my Arrow Dynamics are shooting very well with a 100 gr insert and 175 VPA.
I'm hoping the Grizzly Stick does the same thing.

Tedd, be aware that it is difficult to get an accurate spine with a tapered shaft.  I slight shift in where the shaft is located in the tester can make a big difference, so make sure you are being consistent with each shaft.  Also, it is unlikely that the Grizzly stick people are positioning the shaft the same as you are in thier tester so you may have to adjust after you get one.  If you can, I would get a test shaft to try first.
