Well, I finally got the fox I shot last fall back from the taxidermist and thought I'd post a pic. I think he came out pretty nice.

Very nice!! I have a red fox mounted in the same pose, and also a pedistal mount red fox. They are two of my all time favorite mounts.

Gray fox is such a good looking animal. Really shows well as a mount. This one is beautiful. Love those colors. Congratulations.
Mr. Magoo, was this shot in NC? If so do you have a nice population down there? Not many of here in southern NJ. Haven't seen one in years.

That is a very *handsome* fox mount!
The taxidermist did good.
If I ever get a light-color phase coyote with a good coat, I hope to have a similar mount....
Enjoy!
Shoot straight, Shinken

Thx for the kind words.

Mike, Yep. Shot him in NC. I've seen several foxes over the last 5 or 6 years. Had a big one under my stand a couple of weeks ago ...

Beautiful!
I killed one with my truck on the way home from camp. Feel horrible, still. Your mount does the creature justice, I bet in low light he still moves!
