Izzy if you want to hunt elk (spike/cow) out here there are plenty of places like you describe. Let me know if you want the particulars. Oh and to save gas, you can rent a 4 wheeler (gasp) and ride it right from the motel. You can access a lot of ground and during the week you won't see a lot of other hunters.
