Gonna be a fun Christmas (Thanks Dan Toelke)
« on: November 28, 2011, 02:32:00 PM »
I have been stressing a bit looking for a longbow for my 11 year old daughter who hit me up just a couple weeks ago that she wanted to shoot traditional. (She has a set of training wheels at the moment)

So I posted a tread in the classifieds but nothing really stood out. I contacted a couple other boyers and they could not guarantee delivery for Christmas. I even did the fleabay and Craigslist thing. No luck. So last week I am crusing the sponsors classifieds and found a couple of adds. Called each sponsor and both were wonderful but when I saw a picture of Dan Toelke's Tadpole I knew that was the one!

Called Dan up and had a wonderful conversation, sent funds the next day and today a large cardboard tube arrived in the mail!    :bigsmyl:

What a beauty! Dan even tossed in an arrow for her to try, a tab and the beautiful bow sock! I am going to be counting down the days till Christmas. Nintendo, Apple and all those other shiney doo-dads got nothing on this! I can GUARANTEE I know what the first gift that gets a spin will be!!!!!!

27 days to go!!!

Am also thinking might have to give a grownup Toelke bow a spin myself in the near future. This little bow sure is purty!

Dan, thank you so much for helping a Dad out, going to be one happy little girl when she opens this!

I wouldn't expect anything less from Dan. I've never met him, but between emails and phone calls he has struck me as a salt-of-the-earth kinda guy.

Post up some pics of the kiddo shooting on Christmans morning. Congrats!

Great story.  I'd have a very hard time waiting until 12/25!  Anxious to hear a detailed follow-up after 12/25!

Congratulations! She will love the bow. Dan is no doubt a class act and he always goes beyond what is expected. I just got a new Super D myself and I love that bow. Way to go dad and Dan thanks for helping again.

1 day to go Buddy, I can't wait!!!! She has no idea either. Keeps asking me if she is getting a bow for Christmas. I keep telling her I think she should shoot a few at one of the local 3d shoots starting in January to see what she likes best.   :o
