I think I have found one of those spots that is going to be great year after year.
Got to the tree this afternoon around 3. At 4:15 while texting my wife I hear a stick snap in the bedding area thicket in front of me. A few minutes later I catch movement. Hey it's not a squirrel. The doe came down to the fence and stood for a second then jumped it in the same spot the doe I shot last week did. She came down the well worn trail and gave me a perfect shot at 10 yards. I stretched the string on the Black Canyon Recurve and picked a hair. The VPA ripped through her and she was off. She stopped behind me about 40 yards coughing and fell over. It was over in mere seconds. Really liking these broadheads. This bow is 49lbs @ 28".
Since I saw her tump over I got right down to retrieved my arrow, gather my trail cam card and headed to the truck.
I didn't figure anyone would ask so I didn't weigh this one. Haha. I actually prefer this size much better, they aren't as difficult to get out of the woods.
