Ugly Arrows
«
on:
December 02, 2011, 09:26:00 PM »
I generally try and make my arrows halfway attractive, but I am going to make a valiant attempt to shoot some Arizona quail before too long, so I think i will need some high visibility arrows. These would gag a maggot, but they sure ought to be able to be seen when they end up in some cholla thicket.
Anybody else make less than attractive arrows for purposes like stump shooting or small game?

I doubt you'll lose any but if I find those laying around in my AZ Quail haunts I know who to return them to.

I make some ugly arrows also, they are yellow and red striped like a barber pole and use hot pink feathers. They are weird enough that they are easy to see out in the woods.

I was expecting to see some "ugly" arrows & I like em... But then again if it's not bright NEON it's not loud enough.

Good visible colors there. I would say that you did a fine job in accomplishing your goal.
They may not win any beauty contests, but you will be able to find them. Good job.

Here's some that were called ugly: maybe it's the pyschodelic wraps?
Good luck with the quail, sounds like fun.
