Makin' bacon
« on: December 02, 2011, 09:53:00 PM »
It was such a pretty evening I decided I needed to spend it in the woods. Fortunately, nobody disagreed!

I parked the truck about a mile from where I was going to sit. After a nice stroll I found my tree and settled in. Just a bit before pitch dark this little boar came slipping though. When he passed my tree I slipped an arrow into his flank and up into his heart / lung area.. He didn't make it far.

This Sparrowhawk is indeed a "mojo" bow.. It is plain hard on pigs !

Great one!  congrats!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

"little boar"
Where I am from that's not a "little boar"

Congrats on a fine hunt!  If I may offer some advice, continue to walk the mile in as you have a lot of bacon to work off!!!
