I was thinking I could cut some veneers off of a candy cane, one of those big ones they sell at the mall.  :D

Jake, I've been given that advice before...with a slight twist at the end      ;)  Now that South has seen all this great advice, I will be looking to see what he comes up with! Thanks? For all your help.

I got in trouble the last time I made a comment about wood choice, I may have mentioned something about a wood chipper.....   :goldtooth:

Khalverson,
At least this time you wouldn't have to wait for South for a piece of wood, all you'd have to do is save a candy cane from christmas for the handle.   :D

I don"t know why? But I always think of Bat Man's "Joker" when I see that riser. It is cool..
I would go with knotty cedar for the veneers.. Think the purple on the riser and limbs would go together well. Then I would have South get a small block of that neon green and make the limb bolt overlays and limb tipps out of it....

Bill, they don't let me sit next to the windows anymore    It seems I gain 5 pounds no matter what, and I'm always asking/paying to have my limbs reduced. You guys might be on to something, self-reducing draw weight! I asked South to put that riser together regardless of his reputation, and the damage I may cause. Now, we'll see what he's able to come up with!

Mike,
All kidding aside, you're going to love these new limbs.  This bow has really grown on me over the last few weeks.

Aloha!

Ryan, it was your professional review and photography that convinced me I needed a set of those limbs. Besides, I pointed out to South that I did NOT tell anyone at Compton's that I was his stand in!.  :bigsmyl:  So I was able to get on the list.

Hey South and Ryan, Should I get the knife maker to fire up the fordge?
I bet he can do some wild stuff with the magic ingredients of Santas candy canes.
What do you think Bill?

Well you have a green light to go Kevin.
I am well pleased with the knives you make for me and I can't wait to see what you come up with for this ride. The knife you made for the Green/purple bow was SWEET.
SWEET indeed  ;)

Bill and Chuck, don't you have some bows of your own to build???I promise to show off any new knives at KaZoo, if you will send pics to South for me. Maybe we can get a poster made that South could post at the ATA event!
