Eclipse + adapter question...
« on: July 16, 2007, 04:43:00 PM »
Does anyone know if the "long" aluminum adapters fit in the Eclipse ferrule?  I'm looking for lighter adaptors (30 grains or so) to boost them to 175 grains.

Thanks!

I get 178 grains with the long aluminum adapters from zwickey and an Eclipse 145 after I have sharpened the head, including filing a "tanto" point.

The longs fit a 2 blade Eclipse just fine.  You'd need a short for the 4 blade though.  Eclipse are 11/32", a long 11/32 would run 42 grains and a short (which is fine in the 2 blade also) is just 25 grains.
