New to me Morrison Cheyenne... When's huntin' season?
« on: July 16, 2007, 06:26:00 PM »
Finally got all the components assembled in my new to me Morrison Cheyenne recurve. Traded for a set of limbs and purchased the riser. The limbs are dark stained bamboo on the belly with Canebreak skins on the back. Riser is Osage and Cocobolo. It's 58" and about 65@29. Very smooth, seems to be impressively quick, and overall pretty quiet. Bob Morrison tells me that his new limbs for the Cheyenne are even better which seems like a tall order.

This little bow just seems ready to hunt. I can't wait to get out and break it in. Guess I'll have to occupy myself with foam in the meantime.

Man what a beautiful bow!  I love the osage and cocobolo together in that riser and the canebreak limbs are awesome.  I think that is the best looking bow I've ever seen.

Thanks guys. I've never been the type to go for looks in a bow. I'm more about performance and shootability but this baby has it all.

When my 3 yr. old daughter saw this put together she said, "Thanks for the pretty bow, Daddy. Can I go shoot it?"   :biglaugh:
