Frog hunting with a bow
« on: December 08, 2011, 11:29:00 PM »
I am amazed at the number of people hunting frogs with a bow. My group hits it pretty hard, but we didnt realize there were so many people interested in this sport. It is a great kids sport beacuse you can shoot a 10lb bow if you want.
I added a frog hunting broadhead to my line a few years ago,  but it wasnt for sale yet and no one really new about it. I spent considerable time making "adjustments" to it, it is now officialy going on the market. My field testers were shocked that it works as well as it does. And frankly so was I. I cleaned out all my local ponds myself with it. It is going on the market this weekend 12/10/11. I hope people can enjoy it as much as we do.
cordially, jeremy

I love frog legs and shooting frogs!!!! just wish we had some here in Montana. My mom use to have dairy farms in Missouri. I use to plan my trips with frog season there.

I am really excited to see this head. I'd take good frogging over deer hunting. Can't be beat!!!

I use to hunt them with a blowgun as a kid, tons of fun. I haven't hunted frogs in 20 years probably.

My favorite thing to do is to jump shoot Jackrabbits in an area that is target rich. I use to have a lease in Texas where about ever 10 steps or so you would jump 1-3 at a time. I'd spend 8-10 hrs in the field shooting, it gets real expensive fast in terms of lost and broken arrows.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

The frogs around here are dinks, not many big bull frogs around any more and I'm not sure why.

When I was 14 years old, I'm now 61, frogs were the first animals I arrowed with my 36# target bow.

Those were good memories for me. Where I live now, we don't have a lot of frogs. If we did, I'd still be bowhunting them too.

The best summer of my life as a kid was spent fishing for frogs in my Gramp's stock pond with my 35# red fiberglass Bear bow. And they tasted great! Now, 30+ years later, I own the pond and my Boy hunts frogs w/his little red Bear bow. And the frogs still taste great! Some things just don't change. It is the simple things in life that mean so much.

Why would they be trying to do that?

Unfortunately it is illegal here in Michigan to hunt frogs with a bow but it does look fun.  I like the looks of the pheasant spear.  I might have to try one of those out.

I love frog Hunting with the bow. Not a lot of huge frogs here but a lot of small ones make up for it.
