Also what do you like/dislike about the bow?

Thanks,

Don't have a pic for you.  I have shot a few.  They are great bows.  Have not shot a Kota I did not like.  Congrats.  Katie

1st trad bow I ever had was a Kota Longbow.  I think it was called a badlands.  Very nicely made and beautiful.

He took time to answer a lot of questions for this newbie and even tried to talk me out of ordering the 60lb bow that I wanted.  I would have none of it.  I only sold it to by a lower poundage bow.  Might check him out again.  Looking forward to your review.

He was a great guy to buy from and as you said answered all my questions as I am also new to traditional as of this year.  I was going to order a bow that exactly matched the spec on a bow he was finishing up.  I was counting on some time to come up with the balance of the money and he offered to hold it for me...as if I had ordered it.

Very nice guy. I will post pictures and a review as soon as I get it.

Thanks a bunch...the pictures on their website are okay but with the natural sun light they look even better.

Very nice bow, did you choose the string color or was that an aftermarket?  Either way I like the color combination.

Thanks. I made the string. I just thought a bow this cool needed something with a bit of pizzazz.

I have since taken the brush buttons and hairy stuff out from underneath the strings. Believe it or not, it made the bow quieter without them. I added some recurve limbsavers. Now, if I make a good release, it is nearly as quiet as my longbow. The draw is so smooth, with absolutely no stack, it feels much lighter than it is. The narrow limbs make it really fast. I don't have a chrono, but just judging by seat of the pants and trajectory, it's just about as fast as my 55# longbow too.

Make sure you post some pick when yours comes in. I bought mine used, but as you can see, it is in excellent shape. I love the birdseye maple. I see that's what you have coming so you can see how good it will look.

I kept the wrong photo on the quote but I like the string, did you learn by reading or were you taught how?  I think it would be a blast to build flemish strings.

Just mailed in another payment so $112 more is all I owe.  I have a Bear Grizzly that I have owned for a very short time and it is fun to shoot but I'm used to my Savannah grip so the Kill-um grip should be great.

I'll post pictures for sure.

I love my kota, very smooth and fast. Tim was great to deal with and made me a very nice bow! Been awhile since we shot chrono on them but I think mine was 231 at 53# with 26" draw on bamboo limbs.

jarrod...very nice indeed.  I called a couple of times last week to make the last payment but I couldn't get him by phone. Figure he's taking a vacation since summer's almost over.

Hopefully within a week or two I'll have it in my hands.

Can't wait.

Don't have a Kill Um', but I've fiddled with one in Tim's shop.

I do have a Prairie Swift he made for me out of some extra fancy Bocote he had in the shop that day, though.

I'll post a couple pictures for you.  You can expect the same beauty and workmanship.

Tim's bows are uniformly gorgeous, and fine shooters.  With a 535 grain arrow, 28.5" draw/ approx. 54lbs, It chronographs in the high 180's.

I've said it before, but I consider Tim to be equal parts craftsman, engineer, and shaman...
