Do you see any real changes..80's to now, with respect to trends, hunting styles, techniques ? and the like. A real change would have taken place in the early 70's I believe.

Those were much more than catalogs--lots of interesting stuff in them. I remember how I would drool and dream over my Bow Hut catalogs...Dave

Woodchucker, is a Keen-kill a broadhead sharpener? If so I still have one I bought back in 1973 to use. I still have one of his wooden nickels. I still have some of his DYI woodies and the booklet that told one how to make up wooden arrows. Good old days for sure, oh yes I had a chance to buy a Bear TD at the sportmans show in Chicago in 1972 for $150. It was a demo but had no marks on it. If we only knew what those bows would sell for in 35 years!!

Yes,The Keen-Kill was a combination broadhead sharpener/puller.
One of the guys at work gave me mine about 5-6 years ago,he said he found it in his Dad's toolbox.

After comparing the two photos, it's pretty obvious that they are two different exposures... makes me wonder if I have that photo or if I gave it to the Bow Hut and never got it back. Hmmmmm?!
The taking of that bear makes for a pretty good story.

Charlie; Nice Pic, nice bear! how do ya tell what year the catalogue is?? I.m on the inside cover of one of his catalouges, also with a Bear.If i remember jim dougherty and midge Dandrige are also featured. How time flies! Kind of gives away my age. I think Joe Skipp is also in a catalogue with a Caribou and a Kittredge Bow. Always enjoyed dealing with Doug!!

Serg... I'll have to look through what I have. Right now I only have the 82-83 (date on the spine of the cover)and the 30th anniversary issue.
Seems like I remember seeing Joe Skipps pic on one of the sale papers. I have that somewhere too.
