A Trad weekend-Or kids, arrows and a tournament (pic heavy)
« on: December 11, 2011, 02:47:00 PM »
Hi,

just wanted to share some pics of my Trad weekend. Archery can be a social thing, and is best enjoyed with people you like....

1.Passing on the flame
Saturday noon started with me and my girlfriend taking her two godchildrens shooting. We organized some kids bows and arrows, a backstop and a Teddy and really had a lot of fun.

The coolest thing for them was to shoot my 600 + grain arrows, though they were dropping like stones
And sometimes our dreams they float like anchors in hopeless waters oh way down here
Sometimes it seems that all that matters most are all the things that you can't keep

2.Filling the armoury
Over the last year ive organised used bows and euipment for 5 friends and they are hooked. Now it was time for new, individual arrows, so we met at a buddys mancave and i showed them how to build their own arrows. Everyone was very proud of their first selfmade ones and the fun was priceless....

Choose youre colour

Fletch them and wind the fathers if you want

AND most importantly, present them in an unusual way     ;)   ....

3. Go afield and enjoy
Sunday morning saw me and my girlfriend (after far too less sleep) on a one hour drive to a small "traditional" only 3D shoot.
It was a great day with fine weather, pleasant company and challenging shots in beautiful surroundings.

her elbows a bit high...

the ranch, the owner is a musher with a whole lot of Huskys

Somebody shot that poor girl in the ear!  :biglaugh:
