New to traditional, advice?

While working on your shooting, don't be afraid to try different things. What works for one may not work for another.

I read G. Fred Asbells instinctive shooting books, Byron Fergusons stuff, and solicited suggestions here.

ASbell is a big swing-draw advocate. It works well for him as well as many others, but I found it just didnt work well for me. I use a somewhat set-draw, which works well for me. It really just  takes a matter for trying new things until you setlle into something that works for you, you're comfortable, and accurate with.

Good luck and enjoy the process.  Sounds like you are starting off right.  Once you start to release arrows you will really begin to enjoy the practice.  You might be able to use the FMJ's, but they are probably spined way to heavy.  You could probably buy a weaker spine of the arrow and tune it to your bow.  Trad shooting can be way simpler, but you can make tuning pretty complex.  Hee is a good piece on arrow tuning   http://bowmaker.net/tuning.htm.
