Great Iphone app
« on: December 14, 2011, 10:25:00 PM »
I just came across this app for my Iphone.  Some may already know about it.  It is free and is called archery memo.  It stores all the information about your bows.  Such as nock point, brace height, draw weight. etc.  It also has a spot for your arrows and strings.  I read alot where guys say to write down everything when you find that sweet spot.  This would be a good app to keep it on.

Me too. Another good bowhunting app is "Shot Simulator". With it you can point at a deer with any angle and it will show what your arrow will pass through. You can see the xrays views of the animal and get tracking advise based on where the arrow hit. The only downfall is it cost $5.

Works on Ipod touch as well

iHunt Journal is one I recently found and I think it runs about $9.  HOWEVER, this thing allows you to:

1: Actually Journal you hunts
2: Mark locations of Stands (on a google earth map)
3: Attache pics of stand sites and Keep track of harvests
4: Shows weather/wind/and sunrise, sunset info

I have the cabelas hunting app, and it basically replaces my gps.  The only downfall is battery life.  You need to minimize the app if you are not using it
