Lone Wolf climber...wow
« on: December 15, 2011, 11:35:00 AM »
I finally got to use a "borrowed" lone wolf the other evening. I climbed a few times with it in October but had Bruised ribs and could`nt be comfortable in a recliner so I could not give it a fair shake.
Anyway it is a the two piece with the hand climber. Lite weight and easy to climb with using the strap for sitting.. Hooks up quick and quiet and is the quietest climber once set up that I have ever been in. My Wifes gonna buy it for me for Christmas for 200 bucks. Good Woman.
If your climber hunting  this is the way to go. I gotta thank Guru because looking at his lone wolf post got me to looking at this one.RC

....and one of the deadlies hunters on Tradgang with a bow gets even quieter in his endeavors. There won't be a prey animal in the woods that is safe!

Love mine. Had it for about 11 years now and wouldn't consider a different stand. Well worth the money.

Their assault loc-ons and sticks are pretty nice also for a bowhunter.

They aren't perfect. but overall if you are gonna pack a climber a long ways they are awfully hard to beat.

I have the sit and climb.  I'm not a huge fan of the bar that's on it and would much rather have the hand climber.

I'm actually back to using the lone wolf alpha and sticks combo.  Works perfect in the area I am hunting and is easy to shoot the recurve from

Can someone post the lone wolf thread from Guru?

I love my sit and climb, but the arm rests can get in the way. Never had an issue with the bar as it folds under you're butt and out of the way. Thought about buying the hand climber seat, but am afraid it will be too uncomfortable. They are high, but i've taken several deer from mine, my summit allways made noise at the worst times. never took a deer from it.
its me, against me.

I am constantly searching for my next bow, but am completely content with my LW hand climber.  It may be a small/uncomfortable seat, but the quietness of the stand allows me to stand/stretch/shift my weight that all day sits aren't a big deal.

I own a 2004 and a 2011 model any issues with earlier models have been taken care of with the new one. They are an awesome piece of gear.

RC, I've been using one for at least 8 years now, maybe more. I haven't bothered even trying anything else since I've used the LW. Well built, quiet, easy to set up, and secures well to the tree. Not that you should need parts anytime soon but if or when you do they're easy to get. Enjoy.

They are great, have useed a hand climber for years. I prefer it to the sit and climb for bow hunting and with experience on setting the seat height and locking it in with the bungee, it is pretty comfortable especially replacing the sear with a thick foam seat. Light, sturdy and quiet and no reason for them not to last forever.

I haven't ever used one. Love the idea of a light weight stand since I hunt from a boat a good bit.
I have had some concern about the size with the size of me. I'm 6'4" 245. Any other big fellas like them?
