The majority of arrows that I build for guys they request shield cut.  I use them for my own arrows also. Like the looks, fly great, and the point touching my nose is one of my anchors.

I think Shield look better but Parabolic are quieter, I shoot both. The rest are ugly.

Shield to me also look better but I agree parabolic are quieter. I use both and change from 4" to 5" just as I change point weight when looking for good flight depending on which bow I'm shooting at the time.

I've always shot shield because when I started shooting those are the choppers my dad had and just never thought to really change.

I use shield, just prefer the look.  I do think parabolic is slightly quieter in flight, especially comparing new feathers.  Once they are worn a bit there seems to be less difference.

More significantly noise wise for hunting, I don't brush parabolic feathers with a bulky coat as easily as I do the back point on shield feathers.

i like the aesthetic look of shield, parabolic is quieter and a 4-fletch lo-pro banana is both quiet and fast.  this year i've returned to the roots - 5.25" heavy helical burnt shield.
