Set out at least one stand every year, just can't sit in one. The animals are moving on the ground, and so am I.

Once it gets pretty cold and snowy I move down to the ground.  I just feel more comfortable on the ground when I'm wearing all the cold weather clothes.

I find myself hunting from the ground more every year. I'm really starting to adapt my hunting style using all types of ground hunting. Ground blind, portable blind, still hunting, and stalking.

I came down from the trees years ago when I fell asleep and woke up hanging off my platform with one hand. I like the challenge of the ground better anyway.

I'm on the ground mostly but will still use climbers and ladders. Gave up the loc-ons and tree steps 10 yrs ago.

Mostly ground for the past few years, a friend has a double ladder stand that I use on occasion, other than that it's terra firma for me.
Archery is a family sport, enjoy it with your family.

Ground Hunter, judging from your name I would have assumed you only hunted from treestands.

I missed one whitetail buck from the ground and one from a tree this year... I like the ground better.

I REALLY enjoy stalking. It's tough, but very rewarding (IMO).

I fell off the back of a truck once and got 3 stitches in my head.  I stay on the ground.

Last year I had a close call with my climber and sold it.  No regrets, I like the freedom when hunting from the ground.

No close calls to speak of, I just think it's much more exciting and challenging to hunt from the ground. Why wait for something to happen when you can make it happen. I will still hunt from a treestand under the right circumstances.

I bought a new climber 3 years ago, used it twice. Love the ground. So much easier, warmer, exciting, etc... God put alot of stuff down there to build blinds with too. Believe I'll just stay!

Good luck fellas, Jason

I've been mostly ground hunting the past few years...I like the Natural cover when trees fall close to travel routes! Makes hunting much more exciting when deer are close and eye level...Since back surgery a few years ago I tend to stay low to the ground and just carry my huntmore 360 chair ...

I'll use a tree if I know I'm in a really hot spot and there is a good location for a tree stand.  Otherwise I'm on the ground, it's just more flexible if the deer are moving in another area that day.  I'm far more successful in a tree, though.  Deer are amazing at detecting danger on their own level.  Makes it a lot more challenging.
