cleaning broadheads

hey guys i got some old used broadheads
they have glue on them
could i just boil them to get them clean or would that mess with the hardness of them or ? else. let me know wether to make broadhead soup or not.

I would use acetone. It takes glue right off of anything.

sounds good to me have to go get some and clean up some old woodsmans and snuffers.

The glue is most likely hot melt glue,a little heat will not hurt them as this is the way the glue was applied.

I use a bore brush in a drill, then acetone then a little flame from a torch. Just be sure to hold the head with pliers while using the drill.... I learned that the hard way.

I don't think that a boil is enough heat to do damage, but I do like acetone.

LIke other said likely hotmelt.  try putting one on a shaft and see, I switch mine out and have glue on them all time, don't clean them just heat, hotmelt, quench shaft and kill game.

Same here. If it's hot melt it will just blend in with the new hot melt. If it is epoxy, you will have to resort to the acetone though.
