It would actually be new and exciting to see their version of the classic designs.
i think thats what everybody was expecting this time around something actually new and exiciting but then we just got the same old same old

Anyone know where we can see more pics?...I'd like to see this bow strung and unstrung.  I keep coming back.

As for their 'performance'...my PCH performs very well, not the fastest bow I've owned, but certainly no 'dog'.  BW has one STABLE shooting platform, and accuracy is a big part of performance to me.

Heck, and I'm a longbow lover....    :biglaugh:

What is it? I don't see a description for it. How does it differ from their other recurves?

Geezzz!  You guys are rough!

The KB model really is a great new bow.  I've been shooting one for 8 months now. I've shot it a BUNCH and have taken quite a bit of game with it.

My KB is a 58"long, 57# @ 28" bow made of dark Kingwood.  It has alot of early draw weight and is a smooth shooter.  The riser is 2 inches shorter than my 60" PA model bow and the working limb is 2" longer. Thus my 58" KB has limbs like my 60" PA. Longer working limbs make it a sweet shooting bow.  At 57# it actually bare shafts the same arrow as my 60# PA.  It's NICE.

As far as the "wow" factor.  I think I've read all the posts on all the sites and I fail to see anyplace Black Widow Custom Bows has tried to "wow" anyone with the release of this new model.

Try it out for yourself at Kzoo.

I went to the on-line catalog. Yep, it sure is different from the PA -- side by side the sight windows are definitely shorter!

I was hoping the new Widow would be a one-piece recurve. I don't know if I need one since I already have a cocobolo PAX that is terrific.

However, I've never owned a Greybark....

I would love to see them introduce a retro bow like the 60s era Wilson Bros "H" bows but modern glass n wood........maybe a graybark with maroon glass, 66" in length..........

Well I stand corrected.  I could have sworn my PAX matched up perfectly with PCH.

Black Widow has posted the bow on their web page BEFORE 2012.

Take a look

Awesome! I love my PCH, and seeing as I prefer one-piece bows, well, this is going to be perfect! Now the plotting and scheming begins...

I'm glad there are so many guys that could run the BW shop better...geez, rough crowd around here.  I guess most have already had their hunting seasons closed and cabin fever has set in.

That sight window is tiny!  Looks like an awesome addition to a solid line of proven bows that are built to hunt.  I would love to shoot one along with all their bows.
Give me a bow a topo and two weeks, and I guarantee I kill two weeks!

I too wonder why so many are 'dissappointed'......how did all of you come to some pre conceived notion?  I am genuinely asking.....an would like to know as we don't see that kind of reaction here very often.  Was there some type of 'pre release chat' that lead so many to believe something different?   Again I'm seriously asking.

Also....it love to take one of these to our anual TX hunt that's coming up soon with about 20 Trade Gangers ...I'm taking my BW PCH BTW.

Terry,

I don't know about anyone else but...

I made a post a while back asking who made a forward handle 1 piece longbow.

I got a couple replies/emails/pm's that black widow was coming out with one in 2012.

I don't really know "who's who" so I couldn't really consider the source.

I did get one message later that it wasn't going to be.

The rumor mill was running pretty rampant on some other sites too.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a darn nice bow, as Black widows are....beautiful too.

Just not what I was really HOPING to see...and was sorta led to believe I would.

Still, nice looking bow.
Fills a good niche in their lineup.

Merry Christmas Black widow fans!

Terry,
I was dissapointed because I was hoping for a three piece take down. I shoot a PCH for hunting, and have several other recurve widows. I was hoping to add a long bow with a similar grip to my collection.

As far as a pre conceived notion; nope.  Just a wish.

Looks like a KB might be coming to Lenexa.  Glad you still like the PCH Terry. Along with my PTFX,the best hunting bow I have ever owned (or shot).
