Holy squat. I just found this!
This is so elating and so humbling at the same time, it is hard to know what to say. My emotions are very jumbled. Thanks! I'm back into my home state of Confusion!  :scared:   What a glutton for punishment! I get crotchety when folks hang out in camp for a week, and I will try to get out of doing dishes whenever possible. Matter o' fack, I will gladly live on beer and Little Debbie Nutty Bars to avoid cooking. Not that I dislike cooking, I just hate doing dishes.

And to Dale, who told me, "Take some time and enjoy a walk into the GREAT present that has been given!!"

Yup! Creation is a great present. And so, last Saturday Mockingbird and I took that walk. In the cool and fragrant woods at Northern Virginia Archers, we shot 3-D and even just sat and enjoyed the beauty of the hardwood forest. The beeches, hickories and oaks steady me. We listened to the wood thrush and the red-eyed vireos sing a sparkling, hypnotic fugue. A fawn played around us, much to Spirit's chagrin. I had left the camera in the truck, and so did not catch an image of the little spotted deer peering around from behind the foam doe.

Coming home, I was wonderfully happy, full of new memories and covered with chiggers. I hope the memories last longer than the chiggers.  :D   Certainly, the kindness of your wishes will cause me to smile now and again, as I work through my seasons of the year. I offer you my humblest thanks.

Killdeer  :campfire:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Happy Birthday...

How can you not like a person that named thier "made up" hometown Possum Squat..... LOL

Killie, I've laughed about that for a couple years now.  Thank you.
