Horridbat, The limbs of the first TD bows had white tips as Falk said, and wer produced in '69 and '70. I have also seen later models with white tips. The second run of hunting weight limbs usually have red tips and were made with and without the Fascor notation. The best feature to look for to determine vintage is the presence or absence of an elongated indentation along the sides of the base of the limbs. The limb wedges of the first edition limbs were grooved in this manner and not repeated in subsequent versions. The riser could only be dated by the serial number but the lack of a medallion suggests an early model. Check with Don "Bowdoc" Ward, he has a very wide range of knowledge concerning Bear's production methods in general. I've shot these bows exclusively for around thirty years and have owned all but the very latest models of the TD limbs and I seem to like the white tips the best but I don't if they really perform better or if I just think they do. The set of #1 limbs I'm using now have a slightly deeper recurve with a little less flex than any of my red or green tipped models and I like more of a "semi-static" limb as opposed to the "full working" more flexible designs. Good luck with them, if want to move the bow let me know.....Grant
