my cousin would self film and got some good footage and even some good kill shots.

we started filming each other though and man, what a difference. you give up some hunting time as the cameraman but it's still a ton of fun and great time together. great footage too.

p.s. although not "traditional" lumenoks really help w/ the shot footage

Thanks guys, we are going to try to get more, over the shoulder type shots and also some down the arrow (Archers Perspective) split screen stuff so you really get the feeling of what is happening. It will probably be another 3 years though because well...........this is real.

Jim , got mine today here is Oz ,
Well done mate ! awesome stuff and well worth watching for hunters and non hunters alike . It is so far above the usual 'horn porn' crap that you should be really proud of yourself !!!

Was that jason Ekin  in it taking that moose and grouse etc ?

No, that was Toby Walrath. He is the guy doing all the voice over stuff throughout the video. He certainly put the shot on that big moose and those grouse! He has a couple of different Hill bows and shoots them well. It was fun being apart of a video where everyone wears their own favorite camo patterns, shoots their favorite bow and just hunts how they want. We wanted a dvd that was more about the hunt then what was used, although we did mention in a couple places about a bow or broadhead but the main focus is on the hunt. To many of the videos out there anymore are like watching a bunch of little cloned droids with every little last piece of equipment identical to the next guys. Then hearing about how they could never have done it unless they were using the newest most expensive creams and potions to make it all happen. We always try to stack the odds in our favor but seriously? Some of those get pretty annoying!
Thanks for the support and we appreciate the feedback so possibly another one will be even better.

Jim when I watched it I noticed different bows than what you sell and I thought now that shows your character. You said it above! not filmed with commercial crap in mind just honest hunting by honest guys.  Great job again....

I was on a caribou hunt in Canada a few years ago and the Buckmaster crew was in camp filming. Nice guys by the way, but since Realtree was a major sponsor, they were not aloud to film anyone wearing a different brand camo.
Jim-great job on the video! It was refreshing to see hunters doing their own thing without all of the gimmicks.

I guess when you have big sponsors like that, you have to tread lightly. Just think of all the great footage a guy would miss out on because the guy dropping the string has a camo on with the wrong name! Its like " Man, that was a perfect shot on that cape buffalo but it is completely unuseable to us because you had on Predator camo instead of Mossy Oak!" Use what ya want, we'll film it. Or send in your footage to me and I will review it. If its quality trad, you could be in the next one we do!

jim,   got mine last week and have watched it a few times already. great video and very well done. a nice mix of hunting and scenery/philosophy, etc.. and all the hunters showed alot of class coupled w/ their excitement.

it is a little disheartening to watch some "hunting" shows and see 90% advertisments and 10% actual hunting but human nature being what it is i'm not surprised.

i also like seeing all the different bows. there's nothing wrong w/ being proud of shooting game w/ a certain bow and saying so. i doubt anyone was PAID to say anything about any bow and in jims case, he made his (and some of the others) so why not be proud! just my 2 cents

thanks again for the video jim!!

Jim, thanks for my copy! Hard to say anything more, on how great you guys did on this!

Truly enjoy seeing a "year round Bowhunting adventure" type film!

Deer, Elk, Grouse, and my faves, Carp, and Bear.

It's great watching with the boys, and hearing them share their experiences and saying, "Dad do ya remember when, or I saw this in the woods one time" and feel the De'ge'vou, tingles.....

Just got mine yesterday! The video is more then I could have asked for. I have not watched all of it but what I have seen is worth the money already!

May have been mention already in some of the other replies (i’didn’t go back and reread them all again) but the young man who used the most primitive of all weapons was an excellence shot! Which one??? the guy who used what God gave him his arm man what a thump! He gave that bird    :biglaugh:  great video need to go back and look again, thanks Jim.
