I think yours and mine are the only two risers I've seen without macarta on the back or all macarta.  A lot of people say they like the added mass of macarta, but honestly I think the two exotics I have are more dense than macarta.  I was a bit taken back by the weight at first, but quickly grew to love it!

The recurve limbs are unreal shooters and I'm now toting a 58" bow.  Makes a huge difference in the alder patches!  I will take and post pics tonite of my new recurve.

Jeff,  Just read your post again and you make a comment about changing to LB limbs for league and form.  Thats interesting because lastnite while shooting my buddy and I both agreed that the recurve was much more forgiving to form, execution, and conclusion.  I was dropping my bow arm after the release and still busting balloons.  Never happen with the longbow limbs.

Do recurves encourage bad habits?  Or are longbows just more humbling?  Hmmmm...

You're right in my opinion.  

It seems that for me, my 45# longbow takes the most attention to form.  The light draw slows it down and makes dropping your arm, short drawing, floating anchor, torqueing the string at release, etc show up more dramatically at 20yard leaque shoots.  

So... its good for me.  I agree, the recurve limbs are my favorite and most accurate to shoot under hunting conditions.

I love mine as well.  I haven't gotten the opportunity to hunt with it yet, but I am really looking forward to when I can!!

That's why I have 2 sets of recurve limbs. When I originally bought my Lynx, I had a set of recurve and longbow. I really liked the way the recurve limbs shot. so Dan made me a matching set of 51# limbs only with gorgeous Juniper veneers and swapped me for the longbow limbs.

 This way I have a set of black glass hunting limbs that I don't have to worry as much about while elk hunting and my fancier veneered limbs for special occasions.

Byron Ferguson sure does not agree that shooting a longbow is inherently more "demanding" than a recurve, but I sure do.  Of course, he only makes longbows so that might have a little to do with it.  He twists the limb tips by hand and points out the recurve limbs twist a little easier, accentuating shooting faults.
I think the additional handle mass of the recurve (most recurves) more than offsets any limbtip twisting.
Also, I would think Olympic shooters could shoot long bows if they want to.  But none do.
IMHO.
