"My" Deer Season Is Over... Watch Out Squirrels!
« on: December 29, 2011, 04:09:00 PM »
Gonna be in The Catskills hunting "Tree Rats" this January. Looking foward to a nice, relaxing, un-pressured hunt and walk through the woods with my bow. Might just turn into a stump shoot in the snow. How Cool Is That?! If you would like to join me check out Trad Events for dates and location.

In the last couple of years I have tried my hand at rabbit and squirrels with a bow. I absolutely enjoy it. Shooting this game will make for a fun day with lots of laughs.

Hey Mike,

I was out for them today in that piece we drove in that snow storm a couple years back. Didn't see any but it's usually loaded with them.

I'm gonna try to get that cotton tail that distracted me opening day of bow season...    There I was, in JLMBH flash-back mode when this nice buck walked right up on me, at eight yards, give or take! Oh Well... My Bad...

If I had a special place like yours, I believe just being out with a bow in hand would do it for me.......however........that being said, a B&C squirrel or three for the pot would make for a great day!

Good luck Mike.  Braised squirrel makes a great winter meal as well.
