Tradgang Bow Exchange Pics Thread
« on: July 19, 2007, 10:28:00 AM »
Ok some of you may have seen the thread about the bow exchange. Our finish date was supposed to be August 15th. The selfbow I made is almost done so I can ship it. But the bow I got in the exchange arrived today. It is a 66" R/D longbow I cannot do it justice so I'll post som pics.

Sweet huh!
Its the pretiest bow I have ever had. I don't have my stringer or I'd have a braced pic with it. I'll do that tonight.

Some more info on the bow it was made by Frank Falotico (defiant) The bow is 66" and pulls 65#@28 he calls his bows Lode*Star and this model is the "Shooting Star"
I got it strung (forgot to take pics) It draws nice and smooth. I can't wait to shoot it. Unfortunaly its raining right now. I'm hoping it will stop bu the time I head home. If not I hope it has at least slow enough I can shoot a few shots.

I just relized it upside down in the first pic.LOL guess I was too excited to be taking pics.

I tooks some more pics. I'm still so excited about this bow. I flung a few (judos) last night seems fast. I'll get the target out today hopefully and see how I do at a known distance.

I finaly got a chance to shoot this bow. Man it shoots great. My first 2 arrow (only had two) were right where I looked in the center of the target at 15 yards. (my normal max hunting shot) shot a bit more and backed up to 20. Right there just like at 15. I was shooting in a 3 inch circle at 20 yards. Didn't have time to back up past that.

Now I got to get my selfbow done to send out. Hope I do the exchange justice after seeing this bow.
