New Years eve moose
« on: December 31, 2011, 07:57:00 PM »
Snapped a pic of a cow and calf at the end of the driveway today, just at last light (around 3:30pm, ouch).  I can only hope the cow has a future bull or two knitting together within her.  The cow wasn't too happy with me.  The calves are usually between 300 and 400 lbs this time of year.  Happy New Year !

Went out rabbit hunting today and saw 21 moose, they all must be getting ready for the party. No rabbits.

Thats funny Don, I've been seeing a lot of moose lately also.  Too bad on the bunnies.  Happy New Year.

i've been seeing quite a few bulls this winter, no doubt because this years more restrictive regulations really cut down on effort, as well as protecting all the spike/forks.
i bet i've seen 8-10 different bulls in the last 2 weeks, biggest might go 50" next year, and 4-5 would have been shot under last years regs...
we are gonna have some prtty good bull numbers here in a few years!
tell me how close you got, not how far you shot
