Beaver tails

What has to be done to beaver tails to use as handle wraps after skinning them and how to do it?

Also I have seen them brown. Have they been dyed and if so what works best? thanks

there is an article in Traditional bowhunter Oct/Nov 2010 about it!
It look pretty basic but good info none the less!

You can get them tanned. I have seen them in Sheridan Wy. I buy some of my leather from Luke and Vandy at Sheridal Leather Outfitters if you google it the number will come up.

Ask Big Jim.  I know he sells them at his vendor tent at the trad shoots.  He can probably help you out
