And then Just this week, someone was vandalizing the family bird feeder.  He left evidence in the snow as to what it was.

My mom said she saw him get his horns stuck and thrashed out.  They live in an area that is at least a mile from any woods. He may come from across the WI river but that's about a 3/4 mile wide. I know there are deer on the islands though.

From my brothers bear bait, also with a "broken Camera". His bait was in the Hollow stump.

Bobcat, It's creepy when they cry!   :scared:

Stan, is that a lion with no tail or a bobcat? Looks like a big cat either way.

Charlie - He should be shedding any day now. Be a nice present if he left them for you right there at the bird feeder.

Don't see to many Mt. Loins ....cool. Not to cool for the deer herd!

4 point, that's a lion.  I think his tail is just swayed to his righ and looks shorter than it is in the pic.

ron w, you are right, not cool for the deer herd.  Especially hoping he doesn't run into this fella before I get a chance to.

The lions are way over populated in SD. We have a quota license system and they fill it every year with out the use of dogs. They can really wipe out the elk and deer. My friend shot one this year, they are the best wild game meat I have ate.

Stan, that cat looks strong!!  Beee careful!

I have some new visitors showing up.  Most all of my bucks have already dropped too.  They almost always carry into mid March.

John,

That was our hope but he was poached by a Doctor last week.

MODS, if you need to delete these I understand since they are not trail cams pics, they are from the window.

What a shame for such a magnificent animal.

Here are a few to remember him by!
