3 Rivers New TD Longbow....Your Thoughts?

Hey all,
Just browsing the 3 Rivers Catalog and noticed a couple of things. Right off the bat I seen they are now selling Predator TD Recurves. Nice bows and have always wanted to try one.
Next I clicked on the DALAA link and nothing came up. No risers were available. They do list TD DALAA Longbow limbs, but they don't show any risers. I wonder if they are going to sell them anymore?
Last, and the coolest, is that they are now carrying a TD 3 piece Longbow. Looks like a really nice bow and the strung profile looks great as well. Check it out. Kinda pricey though.
What are your thoughts on the new TD longbow?

I think the idea of the dalaa longbow is a good idea. Personally, I think they HAD to offer one. Either that or watch that segment of the market go elsewhere. It's basically a SKY TDX-15, with a different limb pad. It's a shame they aren't offering it in ilf.
It is basically a SKY TDX-15 with the dalaa fittings, so it should be a nice riser.

At that price why not get a Hummingbird 3 piece longbow ? After shooting a lot of longbows they seem the best for me.
Looks like a Horne 3 piece bow in the picture.Does not have the distinctive profile of the Tomahawk diamond series. Am sure it is a nice bow as are all the 3 rivers bows. Roy

I pulled up the 3 Rivers web site and looked at this new 3 piece longbow. All I can say is "WOW" that is a nice looking bow. It looks perfect and the specs look perfect. I wonder if it is being made by the same bowyer as the Tomahawk?
Maybe some one has shot it and can give some data feedback? If it is as good as it looks I will find room for one, Ken Denton

I think Great Plains was building them....as far as the price it looks to be in the ball park of everyone else....maybe cheaper than some! Should be a good seller!

Great Plains builds the Original and Diamond series Tomahawks for us. The new Legacy series is being made by Hunter's Niche (Predator Bows) to our specifications.
Very few people have shot this bow. I took a gator with the prototype in August and only staff and very few friends have had the chance to shoot it. A hard hitting, very smooth pulling longbow. Biggest advantage is being able to change limbs for different combinations of lengths and weights. Easy to pack for traveling and did I mention it was a smooth shooter?
I plan to have a booth at Kalamazoo with the new Tomahawk and DX5 bows for people to test drive. Hope to see some of you there.

Johnathan...
Are you planning to offer the DX5 in ILF? Other than the limb connection, how does it differ, if at all, from the TDX-15 from SKY?

At this point we are not offering the DX5 riser in ILF connection. Maybe down the road.
As for differences from the TDX-15, we eliminated the Jamb nut at the limb bolts, added a set screw (similar to Dalaa), radiused the riser (cut out sharp edges, most noticeable in the sight window), decreased the center shot by an 1/8", and "beefed" up the connection under the limb pad.
Also, the TDX-15 riser is being retired by Jim.

Great looking bow the Legacy....looks to have a little more "locator style" grip than the Tomohawk bows....which IMO is a big plus!

I just received my 3Rivers new master catalog and looked at the Tomahawk bows.
Throughout the catalog, there are American flag symbols indicating items made in the USA.
Ther is no American flag symbol next to the Tomahawk bows, which tells me they are not made in the USA.
This is very disappointing if it is true.
Where are they made?
