The Wallow Fire burn

I apologize if this is post is in the wrong spot, but there is no "Arizona" board to post in. I was curious if anyone in AZ hunted Unit 1 or 27 this year (where the Wallow Fire burned through). Ive read mixed reports on the conditions up there. Anyone have any first hand knowledge?

Nope. But I might have to go for a ride and check it out. I'll let you know. We need to get back in there again for some elk. I got 2 points already and a third coming this year since I might be hunting out of state. Let me know when you are ready to put in for AZ Elk.

Was scouring AZ Game and Fish site and found a map in regards to the closed/open areas. It looks like our little hole is open but I'd love to get in there and see the damage. Maybe I'll grab Tanner and go for a ride on Monday since he isn't in school that day. Would be fun to get out and do a little stump shooting with him. Anyway, here is the link to the map
AZ Unit 1 & 27 Wallow Fire
Will keep ya posted
