SUREWOODS from Braveheart
« on: January 07, 2012, 07:54:00 PM »
I just bought a set of test surewoods from Tim, he had em here the next day!

I tested them to my bow and found it liked 60/65s

So I sprayed em with Krylon, no stain , nothin.

Fletched em and shot em a bit, then glued broadheads on the 2 I didn't break....  :o

Then I went huntin...  :D

pics soon  :p
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Yep, I have this on another thread , but I thought Tim need some recognition for the test kits. They are the only way to get into wood arrows.

I broke one by shooting my 3d deer at a 1/4 away shot and it rattled off the belly and the front leg.

I have just started shooting 3 under and am shootin a bit low.  :D

Stuck this one thru too many bones and it got snapped off when she took off!

Entry

It bounced off the legbone on the far side, so its job was done...

Here is what it hit inside with a Woodsman...

Stay sharp, Kenny.

Great job Kenny. I have a test pack I'm going to fletch up this week.

Mine took two days to get here but only because I ordered them in the afternoon. Tim is way faster than the P.O.

Tasty vittles right there!

That is awesome! I got a test kit on the way from Braveheart; unfortunately our deer season is over in SC... but hogs are good to go in about 3 more weeks with Hog Heaven!

Hmmm, as Tim says, wow, I wasn't thinking of testing on critters!!  I've got my test kit dozen shafts straightened and just finished the third coat of polyurethene. So after a couple of days of good curing I'll get them fletch and start to tune to the Super Shrew and the '71 Super Kodiak. After I'm dialed in I'll order the correct dozen shafts from Braveheart and keep the test kit for "non-living" target testing.

Congrats on the beautiful doe!!!

Don't want to steal your thread Kenny, but here is another thumbs up to Tim.  I placed a small order on Thursday, I was notified within an hour and a half that my items had shipped!!!  If that wasn't enough, an hour later I received notification from Tim that he had REFUNDED me two dollars on the shipping costs!!!! I received the items yesterday.  I don't know of many companies or people out there that would do that......as I told Tim in an email, he will have me as a customer for a long time!  :bigsmyl:
