South does it again

I was so pleased with my Stalker Surge I sprung on a Stalker Renegade longbow. I don't think I could be happier with a longbow. I am used to more traditional D styled longbows and this bow is about as unD as possible. And yet it is the easiest longbow I have shot. Smooth draw, the smoothest, no handshock, awesome Stalker grip. It's as if you took the best of a longbow and the best of a recurve and put them together.

That's a nice looking. The grip appeals to me and that's saying something because I'm a recurve man.

That is a great looker, and I think that grip is about as good as it gets! Great looking arrows to go with it. Now, we need to hear all the particulars! PLEASE. :D

I agree with Owlbait...not only a super nice looking bow, but those arrows match perfectly. I really like the colors.

The arrows are footed shafts from Great Basin, Kye does awesome work.
I believe the veneer is either Bolivian Rosewood, Riser is Cocobolo and Osage, my two favs.

Very nice. I like everything about it. That rosewood is outstanding. To me the grip is about perfect and is very much like I have settled on for myself. Just a super nice bow.
God bless you all, Steve

Thanks all
For me when a bowyer can make a longbow like this and the riser does not contribute much in terms of weight comapred with a normal D style bow, well I guess he nailed it.
The bow is 64" 53@28, Stalker Renegade with a grip the South is becoming famous for. It is neither bulky nor awkward. As fancy as it looks, it's even simpler to hold. Which makes for a very easy bow to shoot. Shooting this bow feels like I'm drawing a D bow yet holding a recurve if that makes sense.

I have one of South's Trackers (take down) and I agree that it is as close to shooting a recurve as you can get. I really like the way mine feels and handles.
