Hill Bow- Long Draw- Which arrows ?
«

I have decided not to shoot wood arrows for now due to my draw length 32". I am shooting a Hill Wesley Special 50lbs at 30". I ordered some Beman MFX 400's from 3 Rivers with 175 gr inserts and a test kit for field points. My issue is the arrows came too short. They are 31 1/2" long and at full draw the front of my riser is 31 1/2" on the arrow. I am heading to town to buy some arrows right now and wanted some suggestions what to buy until 3 Rivers and myself get thingsssorted out. Right now I have no arrows to shoot. Thank you

A lot of variables in there, 2117s should be 32" at full length and pretty cheap for shooting while you sort it out. I shoot them off my 50# HH at 31.25" with 175 grain tips up front so it should be in the zone.
There are some guys in Michigan who can get you setup with wood footings on wooden shafts if that is what you really want to do. Should be some threads about that here if you search around.

For aluminum you might look at a 2018(.464 spine) has a stock length of 32.5",a 2020(.426spine) stock length 33",a 2115(.461 spine)stock length 33" or a 2117(.407 spine)stock length 33".This is from an Easton catalog.Carbon Express Maxima length I believe they are 33" in the 150,250 and 350,these are expensive arrows over $100 a dozen for bare shafts.I believe that AD Trad and Trad Lite's are about 33" also.Cost wise I'd look at some aluminum arrows.

I went to my local shop(s) and came away empty handed. All they deal with are wheel bow arrows and archers. I am calling Arrow Dynamics in the a.m. Thank you

Arrow Dynamics arrows are 32.5" from the valley of the nock to the back of the point. They should work well for you.
I'm in the same boat as you are regarding wooden arrows. I'm getting ready to lengthen the POC shafts I have stockpiled by adding some pointed footings. I've got a bunch of woodies that I lengthened by adding the Reparrows footings, which do work quite well.
